Do and your company operate without any limiting beliefs?
At The Alpha Group we make certain that you build a positive, empowering belief about your company goals.
So, how does this happen?
Easy, its a six step-process using the power of the peer-to-peer advisory board.
Firstly, you learn that the first step is to define what they want to achieve.
1 What is your key business goal for the next 12 months?
2 What will success mean for you personally when you achieve this goal?
3 How will you contribute positively to achieving this?
4 How might you inhibit your own success?
Secondly the peer-to-peer advisory board help you look to identify a critical limiting belief that you hold. The beliefs that we have tend to come from our upbringing, education and life experiences. These beliefs impact our performance. They can be positive or negative – empowering or limiting.
1 Identify an important limiting belief you have about yourself.
2 What impact is this belief having on your performance?
3 What evidence do you have for this belief and can you challenge it?
4 What actions can you take to change this belief?
Thirdly the peer-to-peer advisory board help you assess the impact of discounting on your business growth. Discounting is a process that occurs subconsciously and involves us minimising or ignoring certain aspects in ourselves, in others and in the situation. We do this to maintain and reinforce our beliefs. We just don’t seem to notice things that would lead us to change our minds and our behaviours. We filter the ‘unthinkable’ out.
How do we know we are discounting?
Do you recognise any of the following behaviours in yourself, others, or your company as a whole, when introducing improvements and change?
• Doing nothing
What impact do these behaviours have on achieving your business goals?
There are four levels of discounting
• Situation: The problem does not exist – ‘What problem?’
• Significance: The impact of it – ‘OK, but so what?’
• Solutions: There’s no solution – ‘That won’t work’
• Self esteem: Self doubt of skills - ‘What can I do about it?’
Finally you build your positive beliefs. Our positive beliefs give us the confidence to do what we choose to do. If we believe we can do it, and want to do it, then we are likely to get positive results we desire. This then boosts our self- confidence and re-enforces the positive belief. It gives us the motivation to persist, even if we may not succeed straight away.
Examples of positive beliefs include:
• I have the right skills and experience ...
• I handle conflict positively and effectively ...
• I make the changes I want ...
• I really value what I do ...
you work through the following questions:
Define your new positive belief, which will help you achieve your goals and implement your company strategy.
How does this new positive belief feel to you?
What new behaviours will you choose to achieve your new positive belief?
What impact will this new positive belief have on your goals for the next 12 months?
Lastly the peer-to-peer advisory board help you take massive action.
The profound impact on you and your company of building your powerful beliefs about your company goals is that you will make measurable progress towards your goals within 6 months.
