🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Saltburn-by-the-Sea, commonly referred to as Saltburn, is a seaside town in Redcar and Cleveland, North Yorkshire, England, around 26 miles (42 km) south-east of Hartlepool and south-east of Redcar.

It lies within the historic boundaries of the North Riding of Yorkshire.

The development of Middlesbrough and Saltburn was driven by the discovery of ironstone in the Cleveland Hills and the building of two railways to transport the minerals.
