Geography Locon is situated some 5 miles (8.0 km) north of Béthune and 24 miles (39 km) west of Lille, at the junction of the D945 and D178 road. The river Lawe flows through the eastern part of the commune.

Places of interest • The church of St. Maur, rebuilt in 1955, using the original stained glass windows dating from the sixteenth century.
