🇵🇹 Ovar is a city and a municipality in Aveiro District, Baixo Vouga Subregion in Portugal. The municipality includes two cities: Ovar and Esmoriz. Ovar is home to the football team A.D. Ovarense who play at the Estádio Marques da Silva. The main beach area is Furadouro, and Ovar is located in the northern point of the Ria de Aveiro (Aveiro Lagoon).

Ovar has a population of over 55,398 people. Ovar also forms one of the centres of the wider Aveiro District which has a population of over 713,578 people.
