🇹🇷 Küçükkuyu is a town in Ayvacık District, Çanakkale Province, Turkey. It is a coastal town at the north shore of the Edremit Gulf of Aegean Sea. The Greek island Lesbos is at the south west. The Ida mountains of the mythology is at the north. Distance to Ayvacık is 25 km (16 mi) and to Çanakkale is 95 km (59 mi).

History Küçükkuyu and the surroundings is full of ruins of antiquity. According to legend, Zeus watched the battle of Troy from an altar near Küçükkuyu and Aphrodite discovered a source of healing water in Küçükkuyu. The present settlement was founded by Yörüks (nomadic Turkmens) and later Turkish refugees from Balkan countries also settled in Küçükkuyu. Küçükkuyu was declared a seat of township in 1989.
Economy The original economic activity of Küçükkuyu was olive agriculture and fishing. But now the town is a touristic town and services to tourists constitute another portion of town revenues.

Küçükkuyu has a population of over 15,700 people. Küçükkuyu also forms part of the wider Ayvacık District which has a population of over 30,027 people. It is also a part of the larger Çanakkale Province. Küçükkuyu is situated 95 km south of Çanakkale.
