Bra, Province of Cuneo, Piedmont, Italy

🇮🇹 Bra is a town and comune in the province of Cuneo in the north-west Italian region of Piedmont. It is situated 50 km south-east of Turin and 50 km north-east of Cuneo in the area known as Roero. Bra is the birthplace of the feminist philosopher Adriana Cavarero, politician Emma Bonino, and of the activist Carlo Petrini, founder of the Slow Food movement and of the world's first University of Gastronomic Sciences, whose main campus is located within Bra's municipal boundaries at Pollenzo. Bra is also home to "Cheese", a biennial international festival organised by Slow Food which features the makers of artisanal cheeses from around the world. In 1997 the event attracted some 150,000 visitors. The town is famous for its gastronomy.

Among the structures in town is the intricately domed church of Santa Chiara by the late-Baroque architect, Bernardo Antonio Vittone and the church of St. Andrew, the facade of which was designed by the architect Gian Lorenzo Bernini, although not completed until two centuries later.

Economy Bra is notable for the production of Bra sausage, a veal sausage originally made for the Jewish inhabitants of neighbouring Cherasco. It is usually eaten raw.

Rolfo Rolfo S.p.A. is an Italian manufacturer of truck superstructures. The company is a leader in Europe. The company is specialized for truck trailers Products are used by truck manufacturers such as Iveco, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo and Scania. As of 2012 the company was led by the fourth generation of Rolfo's family.

Today the Italian company has a museum recapitulating its 120 years of existence.

The company was created in 1885 by Italian Giorgo Rolfo in the north part of Italy. It started in a medium-sized workshop. Later the company start to build wagons and carriages. In the 1950s Rolfo made wagons for special vehicles. Special wagons were constructed for Fiat, Alfa Romeo and Lancia trucks.

The museum displays early machines and carriages built by the family, including a flanging machine, drills, a farm cart and more special vehicles.
