🇻🇪 Santa Teresa del Tuy is a city in the state of Miranda, Venezuela. It is the capital of Independencia Municipality.

Santa Teresa del Tuy was founded in 1761, elevated to the parish of Santa Teresa de Jesús on October 14, 1771, celebrates its patron saint festivities on October 15, associating this day and month with that of the year 1582 when the patron saint began her eternal and heavenly life; she was born in Ávila, Spain in 1515. population Cartanal parish; it is also the head of the parish of the same name.
