Around 1300, a new church was built, whose choir tower has been preserved. The present nave of the Evangelical Church was built from 1769 to 1771 in the transitional style between late Baroque and classicism.

The statistical-topographical-historical description of the Grand Duchy of Hesse reports on the Busecker Valley in 1830: Busecker Thal (L. Bez. Giessen) Land. The Busecker Thal consists of 9 places: Altenbuseck, Großenbuseck, Albach, Beuern, Bersrod, Burkhardsfelden, Oppenrod, Reißkirchen and Rödchen, which have a total of 5675 inhabitants. - The four and heirs of Buseck came under state jurisdiction in 1332. However, they never wanted to be regarded as country sems, but as immediate imperial sems. In 1547, great disputes arose about this, and in the settlement made in 1576, the inhabitants recognised the princely sovereignty of the Landgrave, but the jurisdiction of the von Buseck recognised the landgrave as an undisputed imperial fief. New stingeties prompted the imperial Reichshofrath in 1706 to cancel the settlement and to declare the Busecker Thal for an immediate imperial fiefdom, to punish the people of other people with 50 marks of soldered money, and to transfer the maintenance of this decision to several neighboring imperial estates. Then the Landgrave turned to the Imperial Assembly of Regensburg, whereupon in 1725 the house of Hesse-Darmstadt was entrusted with the jurisdiction, in addition to the feudal glory, as a permanent imperial commission, and the comparison of 1576 was confirmed. In 1827, the Baronly Family von Buseck ceded the patrimonial jurisdiction to which it was entitled in Busecker Thal to the state". 3]

Family von Buseck, has 98 houses and 590 inhabitants, who are Protestant except 24 Jews. Quite a lot of canvas is made here. - Reißkirchen, formerly Richoloiskirchen, already had its own church in 1226. In 1827, the Freiherrl. The von Buseck family ceded the patrimonial jurisdiction to which they are entitled in this village to the state". 4]

In the Reiskirchen district of Saasen, there is still a relic from the 1950s: A freezer community, founded when the purchase of freezers for private households was still too expensive.

On the 31st In December 1970, the previously independent municipalities of Reiskirchen, Hattenrod, Saasen and Winnerod voluntarily merged into the new large municipality of Reiskirchen in the course of the territorial reform in Hesse. 5] On the 1st In April 1972, the municipality of Burkhardsfelden was incorporated on a voluntary basis. On the 1st In January 1977, the municipalities of Bersrod, Ettingshausen and Lindenstruth were added by the law on the reorganization of the Dillkreis, the districts of Gießen and Wetzlar and the city of Gießen. 6] For all formerly independent municipalities of Reiskirchen, a local district with local advisory board and local head was installed.

The municipality was appointed by the Hessian Minister of the Interior on the 8th.
