History

🇵🇱 Chocz is a town in Pleszew County, Greater Poland Voivodeship, in west-central Poland. It is the seat of the gmina called Gmina Chocz. It lies approximately 11 km north-east of Pleszew and 81 km south-east of the regional capital Poznań.

History Chocz, in the past also known as Chodecz, was a private town, administratively located in the Pyzdry County in the Kalisz Voivodeship in the Greater Poland Province of the Kingdom of Poland.

Chocz regained town rights on January 1, 2015. According to the 1921 Polish census, the population was 96.8% Polish and 3% Jewish.
