🇺🇸 Stacy is a city in Chisago County, Minnesota, United States, along the Sunrise River. Interstate 35 serves as a main route for the community.

History A post office called Stacy has been in operation since 1873. Stacy was laid out in 1875, and named for Dr. Stacy B. Collins, an early settler.

Geography According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 3.58 square miles (9.27 km²), of which 3.51 square miles (9.09 km²) is land and 0.07 square miles (0.18 km²) is water.

Demographics As of the census of 2010, there were 1,456 people, 548 households, and 379 families living in the city. The population density was 414.8 inhabitants per square mile (160.2/km²). There were 591 housing units at an average density of 168.4 per square mile (65.0/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 94.4% White, 0.8% African American, 0.3% Native American, 1.4% Asian, 0.1% Pacific Islander, 0.5% from other races, and 2.4% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.7% of the population.

There were 548 households, of which 39.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 46.9% were married couples living together, 12.6% had a female householder with no husband present, 9.7% had a male householder with no wife present, and 30.8% were non-families. 23.5% of all households were made up of individuals, and 9.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.66 and the average family size was 3.08.

The median age in the city was 33.4 years. 27.3% of residents were under the age of 18; 7% were between the ages of 18 and 24; 32.4% were from 25 to 44; 24.6% were from 45 to 64; and 8.7% were 65 years of age or older. The gender makeup of the city was 52.7% male and 47.3% female.
