🇷🇴 Sic (Szék; Secken) is a commune in Cluj County, Transylvania, Romania. It is composed of a single village, Sic.
A former salt-mining town, the commune is located in the eastern part of the county, in the Transylvanian Plain, 15 km (9.3 mi) south of Gherla and 39 km (24 mi) north-east of the county seat, Cluj-Napoca.
Demography At the 2011 census, 93.8% of inhabitants were Hungarians, 3.6% Romanians and 0.4% Roma. At the 2002 census, 75% were Hungarian Reformed, 10% Seventh Day Adventists, 6.6% Roman Catholics and 3.7% Romanian Orthodox.
Sic has a population of over 2,459 people. Sic also forms part of the wider Cluj County which has a population of over 691,106 people. Sic is situated 39 km north-east of Cluj-Napoca.
