Prachatice, South Bohemian Region, Czech Republic

🇨🇿 Prachatice is a town in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. The centre of the town is historically significant and is protected by law as Urban monument zone since 1981.

The dominating industries are machine engineering, electro-technical industry and timber processing. A new industrial zone has been built.

Prachatice has a population of over 11,000 people. Prachatice also forms the centre of the wider Prachatice District which has a population of over 50,971 people.
