🇪🇨 Quinindé, also known as Rosa Zárate, is a town in the Esmeraldas province of Ecuador.

Sport Quinindé is home to the second division Ecuadorean soccer team La Brasilia, which placed second in the 2007 Copa Ecuatoriana.

Culture In the post Spanish colonial period the British built a number of railways across Ecuador as well as having a cultural impact on the local area.

Economy Quinindé is a city of extensive commercial activity. It is home to large financial and commercial organizations in the area. Its economy is based on trade, livestock and agriculture. The largest extraction industries in the city are made up of lamoder and agriculture (fish farming, poultry, etc.) The main incomes of the Quinindeños are formal and informal trade, business, agriculture and aquaculture; the trade of the vast majority of the population consists of SMEs and microenterprises, adding significantly the informal economy that employs thousands of people.

There are 3 fixed telephony operators, CNT (public), TVCABLE and Claro (private) and four cell phone operators, Movistar, Claro and Tuenti (private) and CNT (public). • Radio: This list mentions a large number of radio systems of national and local transmission and even from neighboring provinces. • Television media: Most are national, although local channels have recently been included. The analog blackout was established for December 31, 2023.

Quinindé has a population of over 31,120 people. Quinindé also forms the centre of the wider Quinindé Canton which has a population of over 126,841 people. It is also a part of the larger Esmeraldas Province.
