🇺🇸 Malden is a city in Middlesex County, Massachusetts, United States. Malden, a hilly woodland area north of the Mystic River, was settled by Puritans in 1640 on land purchased in 1629 from the Pennacook tribe and a further grant in 1639 by the Squaw Sachem of Mistick and her husband, Webcowet.
Malden has a population of over 61,036 people. Malden also forms one of the centres of the wider Middlesex County which has a population of over 1,632,002 people.
