🇲🇾 Tanjung Bungah is a suburb of George Town in Penang, Malaysia. It is located along the northern coast of Penang Island between Batu Ferringhi and Tanjung Tokong, and about 6.5 km north-west of the city centre. Tanjung Bungah is well known as a beach destination, with several hotels and resorts lining the beaches within the area. Decades of urbanisation has also led to the mushrooming of residential high-rises at Tanjung Bungah.
Tanjung Bungah has a population of over 16,344 people. Tanjung Bungah also forms part of the Greater Penang metropolitan area which has a population of over 2,412,616 people. Tanjung Bungah is situated 10 km north of George Town.
