Solihull is a large historic market town and administrative centre in England. Historically in Warwickshire, Solihull is situated on the River Blythe in the Forest of Arden area. It is the largest town in, and seat of, the wider Metropolitan Borough of Solihull. Solihull is the most affluent town in the West Midlands region, and one of the most affluent areas in the UK. In November 2013, the uSwitch Quality of Life Index named Solihull the "best place to live" in the United Kingdom. The town is largely rural with three quarters of the borough designated green belt. Today the town is famed as, amongst other things, the home of the Land Rover car marque, and the British Equestrian Eventing team.
Solihull has a population of over 123,187 people. Solihull also forms part of the wider Birmingham metropolitan area which has a population of over 3,683,000 people.
