🇺🇸 San Isidro is a place (CDP) in Starr County, Texas, United States. The town is named for St. Isidore the Laborer, the patron saint of farmers. A large Southwestern Barrel Cactus growing just east of town is said to be the largest in Texas.

Geography The CDP lost a little area prior to the 2010 census, making the total area of 3.1 square miles (8.0 km²), all land.

Education San Isidro is served by the San Isidro Independent School District and is home to the San Isidro High School Tigers.

Rio Grande City, Texas 

San Isidro has a population of over 240 people. San Isidro also forms part of the wider Starr County which has a population of over 65,920 people. It is also a part of the larger Lower Rio Grande Valley Region. San Isidro is situated 55 km north-west of Edinburg.
