Pasadena is a city in the U.S. state of Texas, within the Houston–The Woodlands–Sugar Land metropolitan area. The area was founded in 1893 by John H. Burnett of Galveston, who named the area after Pasadena, California, because of the perceived lush vegetation.
Pasadena has a population of over 151,227 people. Pasadena also forms part of the Greater Houston metropolitan area which has a population of over 6,997,384 people.
