🇫🇷 Nogent-sur-Oise is a commune in the French department of Oise, administrative region of Hauts-de-France (Picardy as former region). It lies adjacent to the north of the larger town Creil.

Geography: Location Nogent-sur-Oise is located in the south of the Oise department, at an orthodromic distance of 48 km north of the capital, 70 km south of Amiens, 33 km south-east of Beauvais, the prefecture, and 37 km north-east of Pontoise. The city is housed in the urban unit of Creil (or Creillollois basin). It is the first agglomeration of the Oise and the second agglomeration of the former administrative region of Picardy. Its urban area takes over the same limits with one more municipality: Saint-Vaast-lès-Mello.

Neighboring municipalities Municipalities bordering Nogent-sur-Oise: Laigneville; Monchy-Saint-Éloi; Villers-Saint-Paul; Saint-Vaast-lès-Mello; Verneuil-en-Halatte; Montataire; Creil.

The city has seven neighboring municipalities, two of which rub shoulders with the city only for very short distances: Verneuil-en-Halatte, for about forty meters, in the middle of the Oise, and Saint-Vaast-lès-Mello, for about 450 m, in the open fields. To get to Saint-Vaast by car, however, you have to cross Montataire. On the other hand, Nogent forms with Creil and Laigneville a continuous urbanization, along the RD 916A. The district included in the triangle between the railway, the Oise and the RD 1016 is divided between Nogent and Creil, without the division between two municipalities being seen. The centre of Villers-Saint-Paul is only a few hundred meters from that of Nogent. In addition, the platforms of Creil station are 200 m closer to the limit of Nogent, and the northern end of this station is located on the territory of Nogent.

Economy Annex and Training Center of the Oise Chamber of Commerce and Industry. • Commercial river port managed by the CCI.

Rail network Creil station is a real railway node, a crossroads served by both the trains of line D of the RER, the Transilien (line H), the TER Picardie and finally the Intercités. These lines allow you to reach Paris-Gare du Nord, Pontoise, Compiègne, Amiens, Beauvais, Boulogne-Ville and Saint-Quentin. However, most of the journeys are made to and from Paris: by the Intercités, direct in 25 minutes, by the TER, semi-direct in 32 minutes or the RER D, omnibus in 52 minutes. The Paris-Creil route represented 1,193,000 trips in 2006. In December 2010, the Réseau ferré de France announced the creation, by 2017/2020, of the Roissy - Picardie line via Creil, which will place the city twenty minutes from the Roissy-Charles de Gaulle stations and terminals, via TER and TGV lines.

The community of the Creilloche agglomeration has had a bus service since 1979, operated by the Service de transport de l'agglomération creilloise (STAC). Since the reorganization of the network on April 2, 2012, the various districts of Nogent have been served by four regular lines B, C, D and E, the first three of which are diametrical and come from the Creil plateau, via the city centre and Creil station. Line E has the origin and terminus of Creil station; it is also the only line that does not operate on Sundays. Line C has the particularity of touring the entire city, which at the same time makes it an inter-district line. The range of service is from about 5:30 a.m. to 8:20 p.m. on weekdays, with differences depending on the lines, and from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sundays. The best frequency is one bus every 16 minutes during peak hours, on line B, and the minimum frequency is one bus every 24 minutes, on other lines during off-peak periods. No bus works on public holidays. As for the evening service, it is provided by specific lines called "Flexo" 1 and 2, at the rate of two departures per day from Creil station. As a particularity, the climb is possible at this stop only, and the bus will then drop off passengers at the desired stops, without a fixed route. The single ticket costs €0.90 (price as of September 1, 2011). Finally, it should be noted that there is an intercity line, line 12A Creil - Clermont with a stop in Nogent, offering fourteen round trips from Monday to Friday and six on Saturday. The price is €3 for a round trip Nogent - Clermont.

Road network The old national road 16, the old royal road that went from Pierrefitte-sur-Seine to Dunkirk via Amiens, once crossed the city center. Now numbered departmental 1016, it benefits from a two-way ring road that bypasses the city from the east. The axis constituted by rue du Pont Royal, rue Gambetta, avenue du 8 mai and rue Faidherbe has become RD 916A which has a local service function to Creil and Laigneville. Nogent-sur-Oise is also connected to the A 1 motorway by RD 1330 which passes through Senlis and thus allows you to reach Paris. The RD 200 connects Nogent to Pont-Sainte-Maxence, the A 1 towards Lille and Compiègne. Nogent is also connected to Beauvais by RD 1016 and RN 31, both two to two lanes.

River network The neighboring city of Creil has a commercial river port on the Oise. It is managed by the Oise Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Channeled with a large gauge, the river allows the passage to Creil of barges reaching up to 180 m long for 11.50 m wide and a weight of 4,000 tons. Creil is thus just under 50 km from the confluence with the Seine by river.

Aerodrome and airports Detailed articles: Air Base 110 Creil, Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle Airport and Beauvais-Tillé Airport.
