Naryan-Mar, Nenets, Russia


🇷🇺 Naryan-Mar (Нарья́н-Мар) is a sea and river port town and the administrative centre of Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Russia. The town is situated on the right bank of the Pechora River, 110 km (68 mi) upstream from the river's mouth, on the Barents Sea. Naryan-Mar lies north of the Arctic Circle. About half of the population of Nenetsia lives in the city.

Naryan-Mar has a population of over 21,658 people. Naryan-Mar also forms the centre of the wider Nenets Autonomous Okrug which has a population of over 43,997 people.
