Linz am Rhein, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany

🇩🇪 Linz am Rhein is a municipality in the district of Neuwied, in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is situated on the right bank of the river Rhine near Remagen, approx. 25 km south-east of Bonn. Linz is the seat of the collective municipality Linz am Rhein. The Verbandsgemeinde Linz am Rhein consists of the following Olocal municipalities: 1 Dattenberg 2 Kasbach-Ohlenberg 3 Leubsdorf 4 Linz am Rhein 5 Ockenfels 6 Sankt Katharinen 7 Vettelschoß. The town is also a destination for tourists thanks to its location next to the Rhine river and its colourful half-timbered houses. In the 1970s the city expanded with the new residential area "Roniger Hof". In 1979 the local hospital was put into service.
