Kosovska Mitrovica, Mitrovica District, Kosovo
🇽🇰 Mitrovica or Kosovska Mitrovica (Косовска Митровица) is a city and municipality located in Kosovo.[a] Settled on the banks of Ibar and Sitnica rivers, the city is the administrative centre of the District of Mitrovica.
In 2013, following the North Kosovo crisis, the Serb-majority municipality of North Mitrovica was created, dividing the city in two administrative units.

Kosovska Mitrovica has a population of over 97,686 people. Kosovska Mitrovica also forms the centre of the wider Mitrovica District which has a population of over 272,247 people.
