Kargopol, Arkhangelsk Oblast, Russia


🇷🇺 Kargopol (Ка́ргополь) is a town and the administrative centre of Kargopolsky District in Arkhangelsk Oblast, Russia, located on both sides of the Onega River, several miles north of Lake Lacha, in the south-western corner of the oblast.

Kargopol has a population of over 10,214 people. Kargopol also forms part of the wider Kargopolsky District which has a population of over 17,023 people.
