Jalal-Abad, Kyrgyzstan


🇰🇬 Jalal-Abad (also Dzhalal-Abad, Djalal-Abat, Jalalabat; алал-Aбат) is the administrative and economic centre of Jalal-Abad Region in south-western Kyrgyzstan. Its area is 88 square km (34 sq mi). It is situated at the north-eastern end of the Fergana valley along the Kögart river valley, in the foothills of the Babash Ata mountains, very close to the Uzbekistan border.

Jalal-Abad has a population of over 123,239 people. Jalal-Abad also forms the centre of the wider Jalal-Abad Region which has a population of over 1,260,617 people.
