Hoofddorp, North Holland, Netherlands

Hoofddorp is the main town of the Haarlemmermeer municipality in the province of North Holland in the Netherlands. The town was founded in 1853, immediately after the Haarlemmermeer had been drained.

Hoofddorp has a population of over 73,000 people. Hoofddorp also forms part of the wider Haarlemmermeer metropolitan area which has a population of over 143,400 people.
