Golmud, Qinghai Province, China


🇨🇳 Golmud, also known by various other romanizations, is a county-level city in the Haixi Mongol and Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Qinghai Province, China. It is now the second-largest city in Qinghai and the third largest in the Tibetan Plateau (after Xining and Lhasa).

Golmud has a population of over 221,863 people. Golmud also forms part of the wider Haixi Prefecture which has a population of over 515,200 people. It is also a part of the larger Qinghai Province.
