Gafsa, Tunisia


🇹🇳 Gafsa, originally called Capsa in Latin, is the capital of Gafsa Governorate of Tunisia. It lends its Latin name to the Mesolithic Capsian culture. Gafsa is the ninth-largest Tunisian city and it is 335 km from the capital Tunis.

Gafsa has a population of over 111,170 people. Gafsa also forms the centre of the wider Gafsa Governorate which has a population of over 351,437 people.
