🏴 Brighton and Hove is a city and unitary authority in East Sussex, England. It consists primarily of the settlements of Brighton and Hove, alongside neighbouring villages. Often referred to synonymously as Brighton, the City of Brighton of Hove is England’s most populous seaside resort, as well as the most populous urban area in South East England. It is administered by Brighton and Hove City Council, which is currently in Green minority control. It can be considered both a coastal and a downland city benefiting from both the sea and the chalk hill grasslands that is it nestled in.
Economy The economy of the city is service-based with a strong emphasis on creative, digital and electronic technologies. Tourism and entertainment are important sectors for the city, which has many hotels and amusements, as well as Brighton Pier and Shoreham/Portslade Harbour.
