Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi, Odesa Oblast, Ukraine


🇺🇦 Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi (Бі́лгород-Дністро́вський), historically known as Akkerman, is a city, municipality and port situated on the right bank of the Dniester Liman (on the Dniester estuary leading to the Black Sea) in Odesa Oblast of south-western Ukraine, in the historical region of Budjak. It also serves as the administrative centre of Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi Raion, one of seven districts of Odesa Oblast. It is a location of a big freight seaport.

Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi has a population of over 48,197 people. Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi also forms the centre of the wider Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi District which has a population of over 198,572 people.
