🏴 Bearsden is a town in East Dunbartonshire, Scotland, on the north-western fringe of Greater Glasgow. Approximately 6 miles from Glasgow City Centre, the town is effectively a suburb, and its housing development coincided with the 1863 introduction of a railway line. The town was named after Bearsden railway station, which was named after a nearby cottage.
Bearsden has a population of over 28,120 people. Bearsden also forms part of the wider Glasgow metropolitan area which has a population of over 1,861,315 people. Bearsden is situated 8 km north-west of the centre of Glasgow.
