🇫🇷 Basse-Ham is a commune in the Moselle department in Grand Est in north-eastern France.

Geography The municipality is divided into three parts: • Haute-Ham; • Basse-Ham; • Basse-Ham district Saint-Louis.

History • Depended on the former province of Luxembourg. • Village destroyed by the Thirty Years' War, then burned in 1844. • The Basse-Ham station (then a simple station) was put into service on May 15, 1878 by the Imperial Directorate General of the Alsace-Lorraine Railways, when it opened the single-track line from Thionville to Trier for operation.

Religious buildings • Neo-Gothic Saint-Willibord parish church in Basse-Ham, 18th century, destroyed in 1891; rebuilt from 1891 to 1893, damaged in November 1944 by bombing; restored from 1947 to 1952. • St. Mark's Chapel in Haute Ham. 12th century bell tower; 18th century nave; destroyed in 1955 before the construction of the new St. Mark's Chapel, rue de la chapelle. • Chapelle Saint-Marc de Haute-Ham, built from 1956 (date carried), to 1958 to replace the former 15th century chapel located Grand'Rue, demolished in 1955. • Notre-Dame Chapel in Basse-Ham, 18th century; restored in 1765, bears the date. • Calvary in Haute Ham, rue de la Chapelle. Cross erected in 1533 following a serious plague epidemic that raged in Haute Ham from 1530 to 1533 and claimed 250 victims. She was in front of the old chapel and was moved.
